On June 4, 2024, after careful consideration, the CAPIC Board of Directors announced the difficult decision to sunset the organization. The office remained open through September 30, 2026 and is now permanently closed.

We thank the academic institutions, training agencies, interns, and postdoctoral fellows who were part of the CAPIC community over the years.

Verification of Internships and Postdoctoral Fellowships

CAPIC does not verify individual training placements or completion of training. CAPIC facilitated the internship match process and maintained a membership of academic institutions and agencies offering CAPIC-approved internships and postdoctoral fellowships. Verification of individual placements has always been the responsibility of the relevant academic institutions and training agencies.

• Former interns: Please contact your academic institution or the agency where you completed your internship.
• Former postdoctoral fellows: Please contact the agency where you completed your fellowship.

For verification of supervised professional experience (SPE) hours or certificates of completion, please contact the institution or agency responsible for your training records.

Confirmation of CAPIC Membership

CAPIC has provided the California Board of Psychology with a historical list of member sites and agencies, including their years of membership. Individuals or organizations seeking confirmation of a site’s CAPIC membership should direct their inquiries to the Board.

This membership information does not verify an individual’s placement, training hours, or completion of a program.

Reminder to Training Sites

We strongly encourage training sites to provide interns and postdoctoral fellows with two original copies of documents confirming their participation in the training program, including verification of SPE hours and a certificate of completion.
