CAPIC Violations Policy

PROBLEM RESOLUTION AND VIOLATIONS OF CAPIC POLICIES:

CAPIC employs an informal problem resolution process whereby students, internship, and doctoral
program representatives may consult with CAPIC in order to resolve problems and disputes
regarding internship training. Conflicts or other concerns may arise at any point during the
application and selection process, or during the training year. CAPIC provides consultation on a
case-by-case basis to any involved party, and can help to clarify CAPIC policies as well as assist in
negotiating the policies and grievance procedures of the internship or doctoral program.

The Violations Committee is a subcommittee of the CAPIC Standards and Review Committee and
handles conflicts and violations of CAPIC policies. The Violations Chair or other representative of
this committee should be able to assist in the resolution of the majority of problems that may arise.
If you would like to consult about a possible violation of policies or other problem, contact the
Violations Chair, Dr. Haydee Montenegro at hmontenegro@jfku.edu
